Wanted: Source of disturbing animal ‘Crush Video’

It may be an old video that resufaced on social media, but a clip uploaded on Facebook earlier today (since deactivated) has triggered a fresh debate about animal cruelty.

The video shows three women kicking a black-and-white puppy around a room and eventually crushing it to death.

“We have been receiving numerous reports on a video circulating on Facebook regarding a small puppy being crushed to death by three unidentified women. This is categorically called a Crush Video; a pornographic material that caters to a horrible, twisted audience,” the Philippine Animal Welfare Society said in a official statement released this afternoon.

“It is a shame that such barbaric and twisted act of cruelty has been made into a moneymaking scheme by fellow Filipinos. We are, as with everybody who has seen the post, enraged that this is happening in our own country – and that it is happening at all. We have, so far, responded to 50+ calls and at least 150 emails (and counting) from concerned citizens reporting about the video post,” it continued.

The animal rights group is asking the source of the video to step forward and provide an affidavit so a criminal charge can be field against the three women.
