Walt Disney Studios greets PH on 30th anniversary of EDSA People Power Revolution

Is there a patriotic Filipino at Walt Disney Studios?

As the Philippines marked the 30th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution of 1986, Walt Disney Studios posted on Facebook on Thu, Feb 25, a video paying tribute to the event. The caption read, “Maki-BAKA, mga bata (Join the struggle, kids). ‪#‎EDSA30‬.”

However, Walt Disney Studios also tied the greeting to its promotion of its latest movie, Zootopia. The 15-second video clip had these words: “Thirty years ago, mammals from all walks of life came together to stand for the freedom for anyone to be anything.”

Heck, it’s so cute that we’ll take the greeting even with the Zootopia reference.
