This should shed some light in the darkness, so to speak.
“Vice President Jejomar Binay said he is willing to undergo a lifestyle check to quash allegations he and his family benefited from several projects in Makati,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
However, Binay still hasn’t decided if he will attend the Senate hearing on Thursday, Sep 25, where he has been invited following accusations of rigging in Makati project biddings.
Binay has said that the inquiry is only “meant only to derail his 2016 presidential bid.”
In his speech at the Philippine International Convention Center last week, he had said, “They are prosecuting me because ambitious politicians do not want us to extend to the whole country the programs we have introduced in Makati. They do not want us to help the poor—surely because they come from the rich and their attitude and prejudice is to look down on everyone else.”
