“TV host and actress Kris Aquino declared her and her three sisters’ support for Vice President Jejomar Binay as a potential successor of President Noynoy Aquino on Aquino & Abunda Tonight earlier this week,” report Christine O. Avendaño and Gil C. Cabacungan in Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The TV host had said, “My sisters and I have been talking about it [LP adopting Binay], and we say that if this can bring about unity as … we’re not enemies… and if he continues what Noy has started, why not?”
Binay has thanked the Aquino sisters for the gesture.
This may cause complications as Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, Aquino’s running mate in 2010, is the LP presumptive presidential candidate in 2016.
