In the Philippines, political sorties often feature entertainers and performances.
On Tue, Feb 9, as Vice President and presidential hopeful Jejomar Binay and his running mate, Sen. Gringo Honasan, officially launched their national campaign in Mandaluyong City, actress Ai-Ai delas Alas made a passionate speech endorsing Binay.
The video taken by the Philippine Daily Inquirer then shows De las Alas singing and dancing. At some point, she encouraged Binay to dance, too.
At the 4:40 mark, De las Alas and Binay really start grooving to the music.
De las Alas also reportedly got Honasan and United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) senatorial bet Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao to dance.
