The Quezon City Police Department (QCPD) launched a project with 2,000 volunteer bikers who would run after motorcycle-riding criminals. QCPD director Senior Superintendent Richard Albano said that with the help of the community, this can be a solution against crime.
Attending the program launch was Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Alan Purisima, who sent off the volunteers. To differentiate the volunteers from criminals, the volunteers were given reflective vests which show their bike’s license plate numbers, the Philippine Star reported.
