The wonderfully touching scene reportedly happened in the town of Teresa in the province of Rizal — which is about a two-hour drive from the city of Manila.
By now, the whole world probably knows just how fond Filipinos are of the homegrown fastfood chain, Jollibee. In fact, its offerings have been sampled in many foreign food shows. Even Anthony Bourdain has a sampled it.
Filipino kids usually ask for a Jollibee treat. Hence, the man in the carabao-drawn cart obliged the kids with him. Various commenters have presumed the man is the kids’ grandfather. He could just as easily be their dad or uncle. One thing’s for sure: He’s just like any other Filipino who has been asked for a Jollibee treat by the kids in the family.
