Earlier this week, a Facebook user named Elvie Julieta Canoy uploaded videos showing a vacant lot in flames.
The lot, which reportedly was just idle for several years, is located in a village in the town of Maasim in Sarangani province.
According to a TV Patrol report, people claim that the flames actually get stronger each time they throw stones or anything else on the ground.
Residents say that the lot used to be where charcoal makers did their thing. However, they stopped manufacturing charcoal and abandoned the lot in 2007.
The area’s Bureau of Fire Protection personnel have been called to check the fiery lot.
