Blogger Laureen Uy got the surprise of her life from Pokemon nazis after she mis-identified Bulbasaur as a water type in an interview on television with GMA’s Jessica Soho.
Bulbasaur is a dual-type grass/poison Pokemon, and netizens wouldn’t let it go.
“Kelan pa naging water pokemon si bulbasaur xD laughtrip xD halatang nakikiuso lang eh porket may pokemon go ! Walang alam sa pokemon . Nakakahiya,” wrote FB user Miko Angelo Ignacio Espiritu.
(Since when did Bulbasaur become a water Pokemon? It’s obvious she’s just trying to ride one Pokemon trend when she obviously knows nothing about it. What an embarrassment!”)
“Halatang Fan ng Pokémon since 2016,” said fellow FB user Nhil Garcia. (Obviously she’s a fan of Pokemon…since 2016).
Good thing Laureen is head and shoulders above petty netizens. She even managed to post a few self-deprecating tweets — and apologized to Pokemon fans for her mistake, saying she got nervous.
