In the Philippines, the Catholic Church’s strong opposition to all forms of contraception has (whether we admit it or not) continued to affect state policy and the decisions of the people.
The photo was taken by Aaron Favila of Associated Press on Valentine’s Day at the Dangwa Flower Market in Manila. The comments on the photo on The Philippine Star Facebook page have ranged from outrage to admiration.
