Quite a lot of Filipinos have caught up with the global #InMyFeelings challenge, which could be dangerous as shown by this comedic viral video. So the Philippines’ transport ministry launched a campaign to ensure that Pinoys can join in on the viral craze without getting harmed in the process.
In a Facebook post shared by the Department of Transport (DOTr) yesterday, the agency gives three safety tips on how to do the #InMyFeelings challenge.
The post has gone viral, with more than 1,100 shares as of this writing.
Its caption reads: “Friends, before joining the #inmyfeelingschallenge, read these tips to ensure that your decision to join the bandwagon will not cause accidents or problems!”
It adds: “Kiki loves you, only if you follow the law.”

The post included an illustration of Drake, the singer responsible for the hit song that people dance to whenever they do the challenge. The DOTr gave the following tips to wanna-be challengers:
- Do the challenge only on private roads or safe areas. Don’t do it on a public road. Be safe, not reckless!
- Make sure that there are no approaching vehicles!
- Be careful with recording it on video or you might break the Anti-Distracted Driving Act!
The Anti-Distracted Driving Act is a law that prohibits the use of electronic devices such as mobile phones and cameras while driving on highways and streets in the country.
The DOTR’s Facebook added this comment to the post: “To be clear, we do not encourage this [challenge]. We are actually discouraging our countrymen from doing this because it’s dangerous.”
Netizens think the campaign is a brilliant idea.
Follower Bernard Ranoy thanked the Facebook page’s administrators.
James Vanderlipa had a reminder for people who want to do the challenge.
He wrote: “To those who want to do the Kiki Challenge while the vehicle is moving and while you’re outside the car [dancing], don’t do it. Follow the DOTr for your safety.”
Jher Birgonia is obviously not a big fan of the viral challenge.
He wrote: “We are just showing that we are great copycats by doing that useless [challenge] that can injure us or cause accidents on other people.”
Gil Velasco thinks the challenge should be done “inside the house.”
