Authorities are looking for a still-unidentified man who was caught on video violently forcing an elderly woman to lie down in the waiting area of a bus terminal in Quezon City on May 21.
The video showed the man trying to force the elderly woman to lie down on the seats inside the bus terminal while she tried to fend him off. The man then used a towel to try to force the lady down, making her cry out in pain.
The video has gone viral on Facebook, garnering thousands of shares.
Witnesses said that the man and the old woman were not passengers. They had allegedly just passed time at the terminal. Some people said that the man had claimed to be a former soldier. They also added that the pair were spotted boarding a taxi later on.
Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Dinky Soliman is urging the public to report such abuses to the proper authorities.
