Someone doesn’t want to do his Christmas shopping this year.
As is customary at this time of the year, the GMA News Twitter account posted its daily countdown for Christmas day on Wednesday evening, Oct 12.
You might have to look twice before figuring out what’s wrong with the tweet.
Spoiler alert — GMA News said Christmas Day is 74 years away, instead of 74 days. To be precise, that would be 27,010 days before Christmas. As in, that’s a lot of waiting before you can get your 13th month bonus, natch.
Naturally, its more than four million followers had a bit of fun with this case of human error. Being a social media manager for an online publication is tough, guys.

Abangan in a few years

Naturally, it only took a matter of a few minutes before GMA News noticed the error — and came up with a witty comeback.

(To those who saw our initial tweet, please excuse us! Thank you to those who are willing to wait for 74 years with us.)
GMA News even retweeted this post to show that they don’t take themselves too seriously.
Pag-ibig nga nya kaya mong intayin, pasko pa kaya? okay lang yan @gmanews pic.twitter.com/qBwFcARQlY

So, to avoid confusion, as of Thu, Oct 13, there are only 73 days left before Christmas. You don’t have 73 years to get your Christmas shopping done.
