The Bontoc bus crash is a real tragedy. But good samaritans make us hopeful, and tales like RockEd founder Gang Badoy’s, which is making the social media rounds, has even put some smile on our faces.

On her Tumblr account, Gang narrates the logistics ordeal they had to go through to fly the victims to hospitals and morgues. She was given the number of a certain Manny, whom she named on her iPhone as “Manny Sundalo.” As a bereaved friend, she was being strict with her so-called orders to Manny. “Yes, ma’am I guarantee it,” she narrates him as being listo. He delivered, even went the extra mile by calling Gang to extend his condolences.

Lo and behold, the following day, as Gang was reading the newspaper, she sees that “Manny Sundalo” was Lt. General Emmanuel Bautista, an AFP chief. “Hindi niya ako inangasan. He didn’t (but COULD’VE) pulled literal rank on me. I was as diyahe as I am grateful,” she writes on Tumblr. Anyway, enough of our narration. We suggest you head on over to her Tumblr page and enjoy this lighthearted story.
