Remember to always drink responsibly, or you might just get into comedic trouble.
One unidentified man learned this the hard way as evidenced in a hilarious video posted by his friend named Jj Pizarro that shows him completely wasted and trying to open a door padlock without a key. The video, which was shot last year but was only posted on Friday, has earned more than 2.9 million views and more than 45,000 shares.
In the video, which Pizarro said was shot in Sampaloc Manila, the visibly drunk man tries to open the door to his workplace using a multitude of objects — think a cellphone, a cigarette, a PHP50 bill (less than US$1), and even a piece of paper.
According to Pizarro, who works with the man on the video, his colleague did this upon the prodding of their boss (the man recording the video), who sounded annoyed to see his employee in a less than sober state.
At the start of the video, the man could be seen sleeping on the floor. Off camera, his boss asked him in Filipino: “When did you start sleeping there? Open the door. You’re outside, you’re not sleeping inside [the workplace].”
Clad in a T-shirt and pants, the drunk man tries to open the padlock to the door.
“Open it,” his boss told him. “Where is the key? Give me the key.”
The drunk guy then used a PHP50 bill to open the door. “Fifty [pesos]?” asked his boss. “Go inside, you look so drunk.”
Failing to open the door, the guy then uses a cigarette stick. “What are you using?” asked his boss. “You’re holding a cigarette.”
Then the guy goes back to using the PHP50 bill to open the padlock.
“Okay, if you can open it using that, I’ll give you 10,000 [pesos] (USD$186),” his boss said sarcastically.
Watch the video below to appreciate. It’s comedy gold.
Naturally, netizens thought the video was hilarious.
Wrote Mae Babierra: “This is a stress-reliever [laughing emoji].”
Merrill Lynch Fonte tagged her friends and wrote: “My stomach hurts [from laughing too much].”
Donna Donato wrote: “I’m like that when I’m drunk, hahaha.”
Coconuts Manila asked Pizarro if we could interview the man on the video or their boss who took the video but both parties refused to do an interview. “They’re shy,” said Pizarro.
No need to be, man, we’ve all been there.
