Adele’s ‘Hello’ is truly on point with its hugot lovelorn feels, so to find another version of the song that tugs at the heart even more than the original is quite the feat
PEP.ph recorded theater actor Nar Cabico singing the Tagalog version of the Adele hit and while it was all very low production — Cabico only has an acoustic guitar to accompany him — it pierced straight to the heart.
“Hello/nandiyan ka ba?/Bigla ko lang naalala nung tayo pang dalawa,” goes a line of the Tagalog version.
Cabico, in case you’re not familiar, is a theater actor most popular for his role as Kayumanggilas in Dalanghita Productions’ original musical, Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady.
Perhaps this is what you can a slow burn. The video is only beginning to go viral, though it has been uploaded on YouTube since December 2015.
