What’s your grandfather willing to do to help you?
Various websites, such as Mail Online, have reported about a 72-year-old Chinese man named Liu Xianping who became an Internet sensation after he dressed in girls’ clothes for a photo shoot for his granddaughter Lu Qing’s online fashion outlet.
Lu Qing was quoted in an AFP report as saying, “Since the pictures came out, we’ve had a huge number of website visitors, and are selling five times as many clothes as before. Previously, we sometimes sold less than 10 items a day, and were feeling depressed about the business.” For the record, Lu Qing’s friends are also involved in the site, Yuekou.
Lu Qing had asked her grandfather to don the girls’ clothes being sold on Yuekou as a joke. She thought it would get people’s attention.
And, boy, a lot of attention has come her way — thanks to Liu Xianping, whom she calls “the coolest grandfather in the world.”
