“‘Wag nating ilihis.”
(“Let’s not stray from the issue.”)
This is what Vina Morales said when asked about her ongoing legal battle with former boyfriend Cedric Lee.
It can be remembered that the Vina filed a complaint against Cedric for allegedly “forcibly detaining” their seven-year-old daughter Ceana for nine days, violating their court-approved visitation agreement.
Cedric, meanwhile, denied Vina’s allegations and said he will file six libel cases against the actress.

During the press conference of her upcoming ABS-CBN TV show Born For You, which premieres on Mon, Jun 20, Vina said the legal battle isn’t about her and Cedric. It’s about the welfare of their daughter.
“Ang main issue dito is about my daughter’s case, huwag nating kalimutan ‘yan,” Vina said about Cedric’s plan to file a libel case. “Ang laging naka-focus ako, yung kaso ng anak ko. And that’s my top priority. That’s really my main concern right now.”
(“The main issue here is my daughter’s case, let’s not forget that. I’m focused on that. That’s my top priority, that’s my main concern right now.”)
But Vina added she has no intention to malign anyone, not even Cedric. She’s only after what’s best for her daughter.
“I’m very good, kilala niyo naman ako. I’m a fighter, I’m a survivor. So, ano lang, laban kung laban kung mayroon ka namang ipaglalaban. Lumaban ako sa tama,” she explained.

Vina said she wouldn’t file a case against Cedric if she did not see a “change of behavior” in her daughter Ceana after the incident. .
“Kung tayo nga konting problema lang medyo na-stress na tayo eh. So I’m sure she (Ceana) us stressed,” she said.
