Look who lost his way!
Residents in the village of Batasan Hills in Quezon City were shocked to see a python slithering at a creek earlier today.
It measured seven feet long and was a mix of yellow and white, according to GMA News.
A resident named Francis Palmos said that he was busy overseeing family matters when his friends screamed that they saw the gigantic serpent.
He told ABS-CBN News: “When my friends shouted that there was a snake, I went down to check. When I saw how big it was, I also screamed.”
Well, who wouldn’t?
A cop from Quezon City Police District Police Station 6, where the serpent was brought by the villagers, believe that the animal is a type of Burmese Python, Abante TNT reported. That’s the same kind of snake Britney Spears was carrying in her iconic 2001 VMA performance, FYI.
Due to its massive size, it took four people to carry the reptile, which residents believed just happened to lose its way to their village because they don’t know anyone who keeps pythons as pets.
The authorities are now waiting for the owner of the python but if there are no claimants, the reptile would be given to the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center, reported news television show Aksyon.
