Manila Vice Mayor Francisco Domagoso, more popularly known as Isko Moreno, as well as five other city councilors were taken into police custody on Saturday for their alleged involvement in an illegal gambling activity in Sta. Cruz, Manila
The local officials were brought to MPD Station 3 in Quiapo, Manila after reportedly taking part in a bingo game. The Vice Mayor also claimed to have sustained bruises from the incident.
As of press time, the police have not filed any charges against the city officials. Former President and Mayoral candidate Joseph Estrada, has visited his running mate at the police station and is said to be contemplating a legal course of action, ABS CBN News reported.
