Hundreds of people lined up along the walls of Intramuros on the second day of Pope Francis’ visit to the Philippines. The streets were calm and everything was in order, thanks to the tight security and the discipline of the people, who came from different parts of the country such as Bicol, Bulacan, Tagaytay and Tacloban.
When the Pope’s police escorts signaled his arrival, everyone readied their cameras and phones. Everyone was cheering for the Pope, others were crying. Some had no words and were in shock.
The energy was still palpable after the Pope sighting. Some people were crying, others still couldn’t believe that they were able to stand so close to the Catholic leader.
The popemobile passed by so quickly. The people, who waited for hours, only got to see the Pope in person for about five seconds. But everyone was happy.
