As if Manila’s traffic wasn’t problematic enough.
A video of a man who was forcefully trying to enter a vehicle stuck in traffic at Aurora Boulevard, Cubao has recently gone viral for showing yet another danger the metro’s motorists face.
Facebook user Jo Soliman posted the video on Monday with the caption: “WARNING TO ALL MOTORISTS!!! Always lock your doors!!!”
You can see Soliman taking a video of his side mirror which shows the man trying to forcefully enter the vehicle behind his.
Not long after, the man heads to Soliman’s car and tries to open the right rear passenger door. Luckily, Soliman’s doors were locked at the time.
“You son of a bitch,” Soliman can be heard cursing in Filipino on the video as the man persists in trying to open the car door.
The man quickly turns and walks away when he sees Soliman taking a video of him. “You’re caught on video now,” Soliman says just before the 21-second video ends.
The video had over 500,000 views and 13,000 shares as of this article’s posting. Netizens were alarmed by the incident and told others to be more careful when driving.
Facebook user Claire Nanadiego tagged a friend and wrote: “always lock your doors okay huhu”
Gay Ruel Francisco said locking the door is the first thing to do when you enter a vehicle.
Margo Collantes Cua tagged a whole bunch of people and said: “[Lock your] doors, fam. I love you.”
A certain Alma Concepcion Mercado called the incident “scary.”
“[I] saw this too! [T]he guy’s crazy,” wrote Victoria RS when she was tagged by a friend.
Don’t forget to lock your car doors, Coconauts! Stay safe out there.
