A migrant workers’ group is calling the attention of the Philippine Embassy in Canada as well as the Department of Foreign Affairs regarding the unruly behavior of a consul general in Vancouver Canada who appears to be going to work drunk.

Migrante party-list on Thursday called for an investigation on the unprovoked and rude behavior of Philippine Consulate General Jose A.P. Ampeso towards an Overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who was trying to renew his passport. The encounter was caught on camera and later uploaded to YouTube. Proceso Jr. Flordeliz was on the receiving end of Ampeso’s rude behavior at a Passport Renewal Outreach program in Alberta, 1,000 kilometers away from the Philippine post in Vancouver on April 19.

According to the Tribune, the video shows a drunk Ampeso with slurred speech and unstable gestures. He was angry at the OFW over “donations” for the agency. The said video has become viral and has spread all over the internet.
