Victoria de Manila residents slam building’s screwy elevator

Pick your condominium wisely.

“Occupants of Victoria de Manila on Taft Avenue are complaining about the condominium’s defective elevator,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report cited the case of Amy Falier who, along with her 5-year-old daughter and 6-month-old baby, wase trapped inside the elevator between the condominium’s 16th and 17th floors for fours hours last Oct 15.

Falier alleged that the building maintenance personnel didn’t know how to fix the elevator and they had to wait for Bureau of Fire Protection personnel to get them out.

Falier and her kids aren’t the only ones who have experienced elevator woes.

The report revealed that “another incident also occurred on Dec 1, where two condominium occupants were again trapped inside the elevator.”

Other similar elevator fiascos have supposedly happened before.

Meanwhile, according to the report, Wilfredo Ayson of the New San Jose Builders, the developer of the condominium, “apologized to the occupants for the inconvenience and said necessary measures are now being taken to fix the problem.”
