On Mon evening, Jul 25, President Rodrigo Duterte was at a private dinner attended by friends and select journalists at the Bahay Pangarap. He had just delivered his first State of the Nation Address earlier that day.
In the middle of the dinner, Duterte got a phone call from his youngest child, 12-year-old Veronica “Kitty” Duterte. It turned out that she was doing research for her homework about the SONA.
“Kitty’s mom, Honeylet Avanceña, said that Kitty was not able to attend her dad’s first SONA because she was at school,” reports GMA News Online.
A clip from a report by GMA News’ Ian Cruz showed the President Duterte on the phone, giving Kitty a rundown of what he discussed in the SONA.
