Valisno Express bus crash death toll goes up to 4

Four people were killed while several more were injured after a passenger bus slammed into a concrete arch at Quirino Highway marking the boundary of Caloocan and Quezon City Wednesday.

Declared dead on the spot were an unidentified female and Eduardo Remorin Agabon, 39, of Tala, Caloocan City.

Two more male passengers rushed to Tala Hospital passed away. One was identified as Arsenio dela Cruz, 54, of Navotas.

Sixteen passengers were rushed to Tala Hospital while two were brought to Commonwealth General Hospital.

Other victims are at East Avenue Medical Center.

At least 30 were hurt in the accident.

According to some passengers, the driver had been speeding since they were at Fairview.

Upon reaching a curve, the driver allegedly lost control and the bus hit the arch.

The right side of the bus was completely wrecked because of the impact.

The bus with plate number TXV-715 was bound for San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan and was full of passengers when the accident happened.

Police are searching Valisno Express’s garage in hopes of finding the driver, George Pacis. His conductor, Ferdinand Dacusan, is at Tala Hospital after sustaining leg injuries. —from a report by Dennis Datu, dzMM
