US Secretary of State John Kerry arrives in PH today

He’s in town to see what we’ve been up to (or something to that effect.)

“US Secretary of State John Kerry will begin his two-day visit to the Philippines today, Dec 17, to hold bilateral talks with Philippine officials and oversee Washington’s ongoing relief efforts in the typhoon-devastated city of Tacloban in the Visayas,” reports GMA News Online.

This is Kerry’s first visit as Secretary of State. He’ll meet with President Benigno Aquino III and his counterpart, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Albert del Rosario. Kerry will then head to Tacloban, to meet the victims of Typhoon Yolanda and those involved in the relief efforts there. Naturally, he’ll also check the progress of his country’s ongoing relief efforts in the typhoon-devastated city.
