U.S. President Barack Obama set to visit PH in April

Maybe he could also talk to PNoy about how he quit smoking. *”U.S. President Barack Obama plans to visit Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines in April,” reports the Associated Press in The Philippine Star.

According to the White House, “Obama’s trip is part of his commitment to increasing U.S. engagement in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Obama is set to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, South Korean President Park Geun-hye, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, and our very own President Benigno Aquino III.

The report noted that “last year, Obama canceled a trip to Asia that included stops in Malaysia and the Philippines because of a U.S. government shutdown.”
