Earlier, we reported that President Noynoy Aquino caused quite a commotion when he went to a burger joint and a music store in San Francisco. Now, we find out he also went to a spot that catered to his hobby.
“Before he wrapped up his five-day working visit in the U.S., Aquino also decided to swing by a gun store in San Francisco,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Aquino went to Peninsula Guns, which located around 10 minutes away from the San Francisco National Airport.
Store owner Jeff Downs (in photo) told ABS-CBN North American Correspondent Rommel Conclara that Aquino didn’t purchase any weapons. He only got some gun accessories.
Downs revealed: “He was really interested in the EO tech optics for rifles. I guess it’s really hard to get them in the Philippines so he was able to get them here. Some of his members of his entourage were able to pick up some stuff too.”
Downs said Aquino also bought optics, a range bag, eye and ear protection, and a small safe.
Downs also revealed that he himself happened to be married to a Filipina. That was why when Aquino gave him a custom iPhone 5 cover with the slogan “It’s More Fun in the Philippines,” he thought about giving it to his mother-in-law.
However, Downs declined to talk about how much Aquino shelled out, He said, “He spent a decent amount of money but I don’t think it will be appropriate for me to say.”Downs described Aquino as “mild-mannered” and “pleasant.”
