UPDATE [Jun 3, 2015]: #RommelAndBadgi may soon find their happy ending

We’ve recieved tons of message from our readers who watched our #RommelandBadgi video, where we documented a day in the life of Rommel Quiminales, an 11-year-old boy who was begging in the streets of Quezon City for food and money so he can go back to school.

On behalf of Rommel and his dog-protector Badgi, thank you very much!

The Coconuts Manila team tried visiting Rommel last night and learned from the security guards at GMA Network that many of you have gone there and looked for him to offer your assistance.

We have confirmed with the staff of Front Row, GMA Network’s current affairs show, that Rommel is back in Bulacan and made it to the first day of school — yay! An episode on Rommel will air on June 8.

The Kapuso station might also help set up a platform where you can send donations for Rommel — we will update this post as soon as we get details!
