The video is from last year, but it just recently went viral.
The University of Mindanao (UM) administration has confirmed that viral video showing a hazing incident happened at UM-Tagum City, Davao del Norte. This was reported by ABS-CBN News.
The video shows a man wearing a Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) uniform hitting another man who is wearing a sleeveless shirt. The man in the ROTC uniform hits the other guy until the latter falls.
Initial investigation shows that the hazing incident happened last Oct 2015 and that it involved a Criminology student. The school authorities said that the people involved in the hazing incident will face disciplinary action. If they are found guilty of violating the school’s rules or the Anti-Hazing Law then they will expelled and/or charged accordingly.
