Police are still trying to find out why he got shot.
“Tenzo Rebong, 17, a student of the Universidad de Manila (formerly City College of Manila) was shot and seriously wounded by a man aboard a sport utility vehicle (SUV) while he was walking in Sta. Cruz, Manila earlier this week,” reports Itchie G. Cabayan on Journal Online.
The report noted: “Rebong was reportedly walking home along with his cousin Jayson Bambam and friend identified only as “Leo,” when, upon reaching the southbound portion of Sta. Cruz, a black SUV stopped beside them.”
The vehicle’s occupant then rolled down the window and from there shot the Rebong once, hitting him in the body. When Rebong fell, the SUV sped away.
Fortunately, Rebong was rushed to the hospital and is still recuperating from his wound.
The report revealed that “an investigation is still being conducted by the police to establish the identity of the suspect and the motive behind the shooting.”
