An unexploded fragmentation hand grenade, believed to be of World War II origin, was found near Makati Police Substation 10 in Barangay Rizal on Thursday morning.
According to the Philippine Star, barangay watchman Arnold Elestrino alerted police authorities when he found the bomb while walking along Maya street at around 7 a.m. Police immediately sent a bomb disposal team to recover the grenade. The explosive was found without its safety lever and fuse. It was later turned over to the Southern Police District explosives and ordnance division for disposal.
