Uberpool is just like Uber, but it allows passengers to share their ride with strangers going to the same direction. It’s definitely cheaper, but it has its cons — like getting a chance to share a ride with someone who’s not exactly having a good day.
On a post now being wildly shared on FB, a fuming Uberpool rider exchanged heated words with her co-passenger, Gee San Pedro who recorded the whole encounter. The video has earned more than 3 million views on social media.
The irrate lady passenger accused the driver of making her wait for five minutes. She shouted at him even as he tried to politely point out the she pinned the wrong location on the app, so it took him a while to find her. Oops.
San Pedro, who was seated at the back of the vehicle, tried to join the intense discussion.
“Miss, you’re on Uberpool. In the first place, you shouldn’t treat your driver like that. You don’t need to curse your driver,” San Pedro said.
The irrate lady refused to calm down. She insisted that she was left waiting for five minute because of the driver’s mistake. She told San Pedro to “shut up” several times.
“You cannot shut me up because bastos ka (you’re rude),” San Pedro replied.
“Can’t you just say thank you to him?” he added.
San Pedro has received praise and heartwarming messages for standing up for the driver. At least one woman has called him her “idol.”
