UAAP: UST spoils Ateneo’s title-defense bid, knocks champs out of Final Four

The University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers dealt a stinging defeat to the Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles last night, 84-72, eliminating the defending champions to snatch the last Final Four slot in the UAAP Basketball action. UST kept Ateneo at bay during the first half before the Eagles turned the tables around the Tigers in the third quarter. UST’s Karim Abdul led all scorers with 25 points, while King Eagle Kiefer Ravena put up 20 for the five-time champions. The Final Four are now UST, National University, La Salle and Far Eastern University. MM
