It’s raining over Quezon City right now but Typhoon “Huaning” (Soulik to our friends in the rest of the world) has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Saturday morning.
In its final bulletin for Huaning, Pagasa said the typhoon continues to weaken as it made landfall over Northern Taiwan. As of Saturday morning, the typhoon was 450 kilometers north of Itbayat, Batanes and moving northwest at 20 kilometers per hour.
Although small boats are still advised to avoid heading to sea along Northern and Central Luzon, the Public Storm Warning Signal over Batanes has been lifted.
“With this development, this is the final bulletin on this weather disturbance,” Pagasa said, the meteorological equivalent of dropping the mic and saying “we out.”
