Two more Filipino fighters will be on the main card of ONE FC: Rise to Power at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on May 31,
ONE FC made the announcement Friday, saying fighters Rey Docyogen and Geje Eustaquio complete the main card for the event.
ONE FC calls Docyogen, who will be facing Shooto fighter Yasuhiro Urushitani, “one of the most exciting prospects to have ever emerged from the Philippines.” The 30-year-old fighter from Lakay MMA stands 5’5″ but ONE FC says what he “lacks in stature, he more than makes up for in strength and determination.” He has won four fights by stoppage and another four by submission.
Geje Eustaquio, also from Team Lakay, will meanwhile be facing American wrestler Andrew Leone, who has been training in Muay Thai and BJJ with Phuket Top Team. Eustaquio, last seen at ONE FC: Battle of Heroes in Jakarta, “shocked the MMA world by defeating Alex Silva by decision in his first ONE FC outing,” ONE FC said.
ONE FC: Rise to Power is headlined by Team Lakay’s Honorio “The Rock” Banario, facing off against Koji Oishi, and a ONE FC bantamweight title match between Bibiano Fernandes and Koetsu Okazaki.
“ONE FC: Rise to Power is one of the most stacked cards in MMA history. We are bringing out the biggest names in Asian MMA as we return to the fight capital of Asia, Manila. Having these four warriors compete in front of 20,000 screaming fans inside the state-of-the-art MOA Arena is going to be incredible,” ONE FC CEO Victor Cui said in a press release.
