Two missing Taguig boys died of dehydration

While a more detailed investigation will still be conducted, authorities said the two missing boys from Taguig most likely died from dehydration after being locked inside a car.

Southern Police Director Jose Erwin Villacorte said the NBI has already conducted an autopsy on the bodies of Dayne Buenaflor, 3; and James Naraga, 4.

The two boys went missing in March and were feared abducted.  However, initial findings revealed that the boys may have died inside the vehicle due to severe dehydration. The Mercedes Benz which they were found in was also said to have child locks and were also damaged by recent floods.

On Tuesday, the boys’ decomposed bodies were recovered inside a heavily-tinted black Mercedes Benz 190 E . The fenced carpark area the boys were found in was owned by one Leonardo Valenzuela, while the sedan was owned by his brother Butch.  The bodies were discovered after Butch asked three boys to clean his car.

Crime scene investigators will take a few more days to complete their reports; but so far, they have said that the bodies of boys showed no signs of struggle or abuse.

Police theorized that the young boys may have sneaked into the parking area to play and got locked in the car afterwards.
