Trucker stabbed for keeping colleague from watching Gilas game

A man was stabbed over the weekend for interrupting a colleague while he was trying to watch the Gilas-Pilipinas game against Taiwan over the weekend.

According to Abante, Jonas Baltazar, a member of a truck crew in Malabon, was rushed to the hospital after allegedly being stabbed by Ronnel Calso whom he worked with at MDL Trucking in that city.

Malabon City Police said Baltazar came back to the trucking garage and found that Calso had not cooked food, a chore that had been assigned to him. Calso was instead watching the game on TV. Baltazar told Calso off but got ignored, so he turned the TV off.

That led to an argument and Calso left to have a few drinks with friends. When he came back, he stabbed Baltazar with a knife before running away.

Bert Enoza, another employee of the trucking company, said Calso got angry the TV had been turned off because he was really into the game. He said on the report, though, that Calso had a habit of shirking chores.
