Some street kids seem to have graduated from begging to robbery.

“At around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, Aurelio Cabudol Jr., 21, driver of the delivery truck owned by World Trading General Foods Enterprises, and his helper, Juanito Castillo, Jr., 29, were held up by a group of minors after they were stuck in a traffic jam   on C-3 Road, Bgy. North Bay Boulevard South (NBBS) in Navotas City,” reports Edd Reyes on Journal Online.

The report noted: “The victims were on their way back to their office at 1299 UN Avenue, Paco, Manila, on board a Mitsubishi delivery truck (TPB-350)  when they got stuck due to heavy traffic. Six minors approached the victims and at knifepoint, declared a heist. The kids carted away the belt bag of Castillo containing their collection amounting to PHP40,000.”

The suspects, whose ages ranged from around 12 to 15 years old,  immediately fled on foot.

Cabudol and Castillo sought the assistance of Navotas  Police Community Precinct (PCP)-4. The cops immediately responded but failed to make arrests.
