Here’s an interesting — and welcome — break from all the coronavirus news: an Australian man and a British woman were arrested on Thursday after they were caught having sex in public on Bulabog Beach in Boracay.
The Boracay police station received a call at around 5:45pm that two foreigners were getting it on at the beach. The cops showed up minutes later, but suspects Anthony Carrio and Jasmine Nelly allegedly continued to indulge their carnal desires even when the police were standing right next to them, Tempo reports. To make matters worse (at least for some Boracay parents, who will now have some awkward questions to answer), several children witnessed the couple doing the deed.
“The woman was topless,” Lt. Col. Jonathan Pablito, chief of the island police, told ABS-CBN News. “Our team also took a photo of the man where you could see his penis, and the woman was on her knees, and they were having sex.”
The cops said the couple, both 26, were so drunk that they couldn’t stop themselves from touching each other even after they were handcuffed and brought to the police station.
Carrio and Nelly were charged with grave scandal and disobedience to persons in authority after the former allegedly tried to run away from the cops before he was arrested, Abante reports. The duo each posted bail worth PHP9,000 (US$176).
Meanwhile, authorities have again appealed to tourists to respect the island’s traditions. It was just in October when a Taiwanese woman was arrested after she was seen traipsing around the island wearing a microscopic bikini.
