In a bulletin issued at 11 am today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said tropical depression “Zoraida” was last observed at 830 kilometers southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and was just bearing maximum winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center.
Zoraida is expected to be at 160 km east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur by tomorrow morning (Nov 12) and in the vicinity of Cuyo or 130 km west of Iloilo City by Wednesday morning (Nov 13). By Thursday morning (Nov 14), it is expected to be at 650 km west of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
Signal No. 1 (meaning winds of 30 to 60 kph is expected in at least 36 hours) is hoisted over Siquijor, Southern Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, Southern Negros Occidental, Dinagat Province, Siargao Island, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte including Samal Island, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, and Camiguin Island.
