It’s our first storm of the year.
In a bulletin issued at 2am on Mon, Jun 27, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that tropical depression “Ambo” made landfall in Dinalungan, Aurora, and has weakened into a low pressure area (LPA).
PAGASA noted: “The LPA is still expected to bring occasional moderate to heavy rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides over Northern and Central Luzon and the provinces of Rizal and Quezon. While light to moderate rains is expected over Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas.”
It added that with the storm’s weakening into an LPA and “unless re-intensification occurs,” the 2am bulletin would be the final bulletin on the weather disturbance.
