In case he ever finds himself in detention, Senator Juan Ponce Enrile should be happy that at least one person is suggesting that he be given special treatment.
“On Wednesday, April 30, Senator Antonio ‘Sonny’ Trillanes IV said he’s all for special detention and even house arrest for Enrile, his erstwhile foe, if the latter is ever nabbed for his alleged pork scam involvement,” reports Maila Ager on Inquirer.net.
Trillanes was quoted as saying, “I’d like to believe that Senator Enrile by virtue of his age, his advanced age baka hindi ‘yan pwedeng ilagay sa ordinaryong detention facility (it might not be appropriate to put him in an ordinary detention facility). He’s a 90 year-old man…senior citizens have special needs that may not be provided in an ordinary detention facility.”
