At a roundtable discussion held at the TV5 Media Center, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV was asked to assess the performance of President Noynoy Aquino.
Trillanes quipped, “Iba kasi ‘yung leadership and management style ni Presidente Aquino (President Aquino has a different leadership and management style). And you’ll have to understand: President Aquino never had a real job before he became President.”
This, Trillanes said is why “many incompetent officials remain in office under the present administration.”
He added, “You senior staff members of TV5 and other news outfits, you know how to hire and fire people. You know how to push people to do their best and make themselves productive. But President Aquino never had that kind of experience, which is why his patience is so excessively deep.”
And , no, we don’t think that was a compliment.
