Making a living is hard, but stabbing people to get ahead seems a little too extreme.

A tricycle driver stabbed a fellow driver yesterday in Manila when they argued over who will accept a passenger and drive him to his destination.

ABS-CBN News identified the victim as 41-year-old Joel Cruz, who was brought to the hospital after he was stabbed by the unidentified suspect. It is not known yet what happened to the victim afterward.

Meanwhile, the suspect surrendered to the police after the incident.

At least he didn’t put up a fight.

Tricycle drivers earn an inadequate income, as one tricycle ride is usually around PHP20 (US$0.38) – PHP50 (US$0.96) depending on the rider’s destination.

The suspect will face charges of frustrated murder.
