In case you’re wondering whether you can get paid to travel, then this might be your opportunity: a YouTuber is looking to hire a driver that will take him and his dogs around the islands of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in his “bahay jeepney” (jeepney house).

Francis Amoroso, who runs the YouTube page Bahay Jeep, posted the job ad on Facebook that piqued the internet’s interest.

Prospective drivers are looking at a salary of PHP15,000 (US$266.64) in exchange for months’ worth of adventures.

“Looking for [a] driver [at] 15k per month who will join us in roaming the entire Philippines — Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. He will drive the Bahay Jeep,” he wrote.

“We will be away from our homes for months as we will hit every single province. We are making history and future, and we will document all of our adventures so we have memories that we can return to,” he added.

Amoroso said that two of his dogs, Panpan and Pacman, will also join them on the cross-country trip, and added that he hoped the driver was a dog lover too.

Amoroso also gave the following qualifications he was looking for in a road trip companion:

“- Not hot headed. Must have a lot of patience.

– He should know how to get along with others.

– A single man or someone who is used to being away from his family for a long period.

– Loves to explore and has an upbeat personality.”

He apologized for the modest starting salary, adding, “In the future, we will reap our rewards.”

The post has been shared over 22,000 times, with Amoroso updating his post to say that he received over 200 applications.

Amoroso turned a jeepney into a camper of sorts, fitting out two sofa beds, as well as a kitchen and a bathroom. The jeepney also features a roof deck and a tent, as well as sleeping bags and a hammock.

He also shared that the jeepney is decked out with solar panels and Starlink, the satellite internet service by SpaceX, which would provide them with power and internet connection even in the country’s remotest parts.

He added that he planned on meeting a stranger in each province and taking them on the road trip with them.
