One again, another truck driver drives too fast.
“On Wednesday morning, July 30, a man was seriously injured after a 40-foot trailer truck rammed a concrete post and then turned on its side along San Mateo-IBP Road in Quezon City,” reports ABS-CBN News correspondent Kori Quintos on ABS-CBNnews.com.
Witnesses say that the truck “was speeding along the wet road before it rammed the concrete post.”
The injured man, who is one of the truck’s passengers, was rushed to the hospital. Police say he sustained “a serious head injury.”
On top of that, the report said that the concrete post that was hit was nearly toppled to the ground. This caused power outage in the area, as well as heavy traffic, as the truck and the fallen wires blocked almost the entire road.
