It’s also a “payday Friday,” so brace yourself for heavy traffic.
“Anticipating a large number of participants in the Iglesia ni Cristo’s evangelical mission on Friday, Mar 28, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista has ordered a portion of Commonwealth Avenue closed to vehicular traffic,” reports Jeannette I. Andrade in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The INC will hold its evangelical mission in front of the new house of worship, which still under construction, on Commonwealth Avenue.
So, beginning at 12:01am on Friday, motorists will have to avoid the eastbound or Fairview-bound lane of Commonwealth Avenue, particularly from the Sandiganbayan to Litex Road, which will be closed for the duration of the Lingap-Pamamahayag (Aid to Humanity-Evangelical Mission) activity.
By 6am that day, a counterflow scheme on Commonwealth Avenue, particularly on the Elliptical Road-bound side, will be put in effect.
Reminder: Apart from the counterflow measure, Fairview-bound vehicles would be rerouted to Batasan Road to ease vehicular traffic.
