Three days ago, New York lit up the Empire State Building “to show solidarity, support, and raise awareness and aid in light of the tragedy brought by Typhoon Yolanda.”
It’s now Toronoto’s turn to trip the light fantastic. “The CN Tower will be lit blue, white, red and yellow, the colours of the Philippines, to raise awareness of the Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund,” says a flyer posted by @mvastudios on Twitter.
The Canadian government has set up a Philippines crisis fund and will match individual donations to charities, reports CTV News, which also has a full list of registered charities on its site.
